The Plymouth Duster was a tremendous success for the Chrysler Corporation in the 1970's. Dusters were built around Chrysler's unibody integrated chassis design that incorporated torsion bar front suspension with rear leaf springs. Powertrain options were offered beginning with the venerable 225ci 'Slant-Six' and progressing through various performance V8s. This partially restored 1974 Duster is a perfect example of one of these popular models. The Frosty Green Metallic exterior was refinished and is accented by a Matte Black hood and sport striping. The Green vinyl interior was also refreshed and is in very good condition. The Duster is equipped with tinted windows and an Optimus AM/FM/Cassette stereo system has been added. Horsepower is furnished by an 'LA Series' 318ci V8 that is said to have been completely rebuilt, sounds strong and is backed by a 3-speed Torqueflite automatic transmission. The chassis is fitted with power steering and power assisted disc/drum brakes and 15” Chrysler Rallye Wheels with BFG Radial T/A rubber. This is a sharp Duster that is looking for a new home – be that your MOPAR garage?
